The race is a three day series setup omnium style, meaning you can start one day without finishing the previous day. Also, each day is scored separately, although at the end of the series points are added from the three days to determine the overall winner. Volunteers and hired professional staff. 2018 will see the race celebrate 41 years of amateur bike racing, 16 years on the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour calendar and 4th year on the UCI Americas Tour. The Joe Martin Stage Race consists of both pro men and women categories, plus an elite amateur mens group.
